Terms of Service

These Terms of Service ("Terms") govern the relationship between Partna Company LLC, an Illinois limited liability company doing business as Lake County Web Co. ("Lake County Web Co.," "we," "us"), and the business or individual ("you," "Customer") engaging Lake County Web Co. for website design and development services. By submitting an intake form, paying an unlock fee, or otherwise engaging Lake County Web Co., you agree to these Terms.

1. Services

Lake County Web Co. designs and builds custom websites for small businesses located in Lake County, Illinois. Two service tiers are available:

• Complete Site — $497 one-time. A complete multi-page custom website (typically home, services, about, contact, plus relevant supporting pages). Mobile-responsive, conversion-focused, basic local SEO setup, contact form, click-to-call, and click-to-map.
• Full Site with Custom Features — $1,200 one-time. Everything in the Complete Site, plus checkout / payment integration (Stripe, Square, or PayPal), custom menu design (restaurants, salons, service shops), booking / appointment forms, photo galleries, expanded service pages, and other features tailored to your business as scoped during intake.

2. The "Built Before You Pay" Process

You complete an intake form. Lake County Web Co. designs and builds a private preview of your website in advance. You review the preview and may request reasonable revisions before payment. You only pay the one-time fee if and when you choose to unlock and accept the site. There is no obligation to pay if you do not wish to proceed.

3. Revisions

Reasonable revisions during the preview period are included in the flat fee. Revisions outside the originally scoped feature set (for example, requesting checkout integration on a Complete Site after preview is delivered) may require upgrading to the Full Site tier or be declined.

4. Payment

The unlock fee is a single one-time charge paid at the time you accept the preview. Lake County Web Co. accepts Zelle (preferred), personal or business check, or direct bank transfer (ACH). There are no recurring charges, retainers, or required monthly fees from Lake County Web Co. All fees are in U.S. dollars. A receipt is provided for every transaction.

5. Ownership and License

Upon receipt of the unlock fee, Lake County Web Co. transfers full ownership of the website source files, content, and assets created specifically for you ("Your Site") to you. You receive 100% rights to use, modify, host, sublicense, and distribute Your Site as you see fit. Stock photography, fonts, or third-party libraries used within Your Site remain governed by their respective licenses.

Until the unlock fee is paid, Lake County Web Co. retains all rights to the preview, including the right not to deliver, modify, or remove it.

6. Customer Responsibilities

You are responsible for providing accurate business information, copy approvals, and any logos or media you wish included. You are responsible for arranging your own domain registration and hosting after ownership transfer (Lake County Web Co. can recommend providers but is not a hosting service). You are responsible for the legality and accuracy of content you provide.

7. Optional Add-Ons

If add-on services are offered to you in writing (for example ongoing maintenance, content updates, or additional design work), they will be governed by their own scope and pricing. No add-on is bundled into the Complete Site or Full Site fee, and no add-on is required.

8. Refunds

Because you only pay after seeing and accepting the preview, refunds are limited. If a clear and timely defect prevents the site from functioning as scoped at the time of unlock, Lake County Web Co. will fix it at no additional cost or, at our discretion, issue a refund.

9. Service Area

Lake County Web Co. serves Lake County, Illinois only. We may decline projects outside this service area.

10. Confidentiality

Information you share during intake is treated as confidential and used only to design and deliver Your Site. We do not sell your information to third parties. See our Privacy Policy for details.

11. Warranties and Limitation of Liability

The Services are provided "as is." Lake County Web Co. makes no guarantees regarding search rankings, lead volume, conversion rates, or business outcomes. To the maximum extent permitted by law, Lake County Web Co.'s aggregate liability arising out of or relating to the Services shall not exceed the fees you have paid to Lake County Web Co. for the project at issue.

12. Termination

You may walk away at any time before paying the unlock fee at no cost. Lake County Web Co. may decline to begin or continue a project if intake information appears fraudulent, illegal, or outside the service area.

13. Governing Law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the State of Illinois. Any dispute arising under these Terms shall be brought exclusively in the state or federal courts located in Lake County, Illinois.

14. Changes

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date at the top of this page reflects the most recent revision. Continued use of the Services after changes constitutes acceptance.
